It is lightweight and easy to carry around. And having a 28mm lens helps compensate for having a single frame split into two images.  The Loreo MK II 3-D camera uses ordinary 35mm 400 ISO speed film and requires no special processing or printing. Simply have your film processed and printed as usual. The prints will automatically show your picture twice, which allows you to enjoy them in full stereo depth using a 3D viewer.  The Loreo Lite viewer is included and there are more viewer choices listed below. You will be able to see your pictures with a realism no ordinary camera can give you.

Note:
The MK II is similar to the Vivitar/#321 3D Camera except that the MK II print is parallel whereas the Vivitar/#321 print is cross-eyed.  The MK II print can be used with a greater variety of viewers without modifying the prints.  The Vivitar/#321 will produce a slightly sharper image because it does not use a "beam splitter" system.

What film to use:
You can load your MK II camera with any ordinary 35mm color negative films (12 or 24 or 36 exposure length) of ISO 200 speed or greater. If you use 400 ISO speed film, you benefit from increased flash range and increased performance in low light level outdoor situations. No special processing is needed. Simply ask for prints (preferably matte surface) in size 3R (9x12.5 cm, 5"x3.5"), if not available 4R (10x15 cm, 6"x4").

Lens Shade:
To improve the contrast of your stereo prints, a Lens-shade specially designed for your MK II stereo camera is included. It attaches to the front panel of the camera by a tongue and groove joint. It is particularly effective in shielding against bright light shining from either side of the camera. Without the Lens-shade this stray light could otherwise appear as ghost images on your stereo photographs. There's a storage pocket for it in the carrying case.

Tips for taking dramatic 3-D pictures:
As in ordinary photography, the important part of your picture will usually be placed in the center and best exposure is obtain if the sun is behind the photographer. Stereo photography is different from ordinary photography however in other respects. Your MK II 3-D camera not only records the shape of things but it also records the depth of a scene.

To take full advantage of this, your stereo pictures should show foreground objects as well as background ones. When taking a person include in the foreground branches of a tree or flowers and an interesting view behind the person. You would not, as in ordinary photography, place the person against a wall to take a close-up shot, since that picture would not have depth and would not give good stereo effect.

Experiment with your photography to see the startling difference stereo pictures can give.

Important notice ~ when taking pictures you can point your camera somewhat up or down but pay attention to keep it at level horizontally. Never hold your camera vertically, since you will not able to view such pictures in stereo.
